Every few days, someone asks me with genuine warmth,
"Dr. Varsha, where is Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation? We would love to visit your office."
My answer always begins with gratitude.
You are most welcome.
But before you search for our office on Google Maps, allow me to tell you where Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation truly exists.
Compassion has no postal address.
That simple belief is the foundation on which Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation was born.
Compassion lives wherever one human heart chooses kindness over indifference, service over comfort, and humanity over self.
Personally, I am a very small person in terms of physical and financial capacity. I never dreamt of building a large office, hanging a grand signboard, and asking people to come looking for Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation.
Whenever someone donates ₹50, ₹1,500 or ₹15,000 to Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation, my mind never sees bricks, cement, furniture or office walls.
Instead, I see compassion reaching hungry stomachs through food.
I see kindness becoming clothes for someone who has none.
I see medicines reaching those who cannot afford treatment.
I see an elderly person smiling after regaining eyesight through a sponsored cataract surgery.
I see hope replacing despair.
Every single rupee entrusted to Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation carries the silent prayers of countless people waiting for help.
How could I ask that rupee to become concrete when it has the power to become compassion?
How could I build walls when I could build kindness?
That thought never allowed Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation to invest in one physical building.
Instead, it inspired us to build something infinitely more valuable.
A family united by compassion.
Today, Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation has adopted five old-age homes, seven orphanages, and supports humanitarian causes across Bengaluru and many cities throughout India.
As you read these words, compassion is already travelling across the country.
In Raipur, kindness became breakfast packets for families waiting at the railway station.
In Bengaluru, compassion restored eyesight through sponsored cataract surgeries at Sankara Eye Hospital.
In Hosur, kindness became roofing sheets protecting vulnerable families from the rain.
In Mysuru, compassion became umbrellas in the hands of people living on the streets.
In Roorkee, an IIT student transformed kindness into smiles by sharing chocolates with children living on the streets.

Which one of these places should I call the office of Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation?
Our headquarters are in Bengaluru, with operational teams in Bengaluru, Bhopal, Raipur, Jabalpur, Hyderabad, Chennai, Lucknow, Kanpur and Haridwar.
Yet the true headquarters of Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation is wherever compassion is translated into action.
Every volunteer serving with love is Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation.
Every donor giving with humility is Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation.
Every student sharing a meal is Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation.
Every homemaker preparing food for someone in need is Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation.
Every child learning kindness is Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation.
Our address changes every day because suffering changes every day.
And so does our opportunity to spread compassion.
People often believe organisations become bigger when their buildings become bigger.
I believe Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation becomes greater every time another human heart chooses compassion.
Concrete can build offices.
Only compassion can build humanity.
Only kindness can transform lives.
My dream has never been to create another institution.
My dream is to create the largest family of compassion the country has ever known.
A family where every member believes no act of kindness is too small.
A meal.
A blanket.
An umbrella.
A notebook.
A smile.
A prayer.
Even five rupees offered with sincerity can begin a chain of compassion that transforms generations.
Compassion multiplies exactly like neurons inside the human brain.
One act of kindness inspires another.
One compassionate volunteer inspires another.
One compassionate family inspires another.
Soon, compassion becomes a movement.
That movement is Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation.

Do not look only for a building.
Come to an orphanage.
Come to an old-age home.
Come to a cataract surgery camp.
Come to a food distribution drive.
Come to a rehabilitation activity.
Come wherever compassion is being lived.
Come wherever kindness is being shared.
Because that is where you will find Vigyan Saroj Care Foundation.
And perhaps, that is where you will discover you were never meant to be just a visitor.
You were meant to become family.
